Life without goals is not that fun. When you wake up every morning you have got to be thankful and must have something to look forward to. But in this era human beings are made to have few goals at least without any second thought. Students have their academic goals, adults have career goals and so on. It is true that according to each one’s necessity and passion the ambitions change. But a fitness related target is a must have for everyone.
Children are automatically into fitness regime by being active from dawn to dusk. But that slowly fades away due to this era’s curse called screen time. And further we tend to become couch potatoes due to our desk jobs, family and other commitments.
So why fitness goals for all? The simple answer that everyone is aware of : good health is the base to execute our other plans. True, but beyond that there is this high level of inner satisfaction. Challenging your body with something you have never done before is going to make you feel proud. It could be just having a goal to run 5K, or strengthen your core to take control of your body or just lose weight to be in that healthy range. In any case you are going to have bliss for sure.
Another thing about fitness goal is that it is continuous. Otherwise, you may reach to the top by becoming a director of a company or by finishing your dream education. You will enjoy that delight may be for few weeks or months, then it is again questioning yourself what next. I am not underestimating all such important ambitions, but a parallel fitness regime with deadlines will keep up your spirits no matter what you achieve in other areas.
So go for a marathon, do the body combat to fuel your passion for martial arts, dream to be a person better than who you are right now.
