Kids Playing for Imagination!

Kids are known for boundaryless imagination and art gives an edge to explore. There are numerous ways to make learning fun, but I find the concept of Play dough quite fascinating. Play dough was initially used for cleaning coal residues from wallpaper and then people discovered that it could be used as modelling compound by children. Best thing about Play dough is that it can be introduced at a very young age. This soft and pliable compound not only helps kids make shapes but also improves hand strength, dexterity and motor skills. In fact when a child digs into Play dough her using of hands and fingers actually stimulates her brain and increases the number of neural connections it makes.

We can use Play dough in innumerable ways to build creativity. Classic ones are to shape it or cut it using cookie cutters. One can also make beads and allow it to dry to make jewelry or make coils, flatten it and paint it to make decorative plates and the list goes on. And that makes me think that one should have plenty of Play dough to give freedom to kids imagination, but what I find in the market are mostly two or three ounce cups. They do have variety of colors but practically speaking kids especially tots would like to have a generous amount to work with. Next is the price factor, these tiny cups of Play doh in the market costs around $20 to $25. This makes parents to impose too many restrictions and that means saying no to “creativity”.

So I was wishing to have some few colors of Play dough that comes in a sizable amount. It should also be non toxic preferably made with edible ingredients and of course with a reasonable price tag. All these parameters are met by Sophia’s Play dough. It is a homemade Play dough sold purely for charity. So to keep your little one occupied log on to http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=131186963270&alt=web and shop for a noble cause.
