Country or Company? who controls who?

Heard about one man show but one firm affecting the whole country is something rare. Nokia a world renowned company from Finland makes me think that way.

From the year 1998 to 2007, a quarter of Finnish growth was contributed by Nokia alone. Also, it plays a significant role in research & development projects and exports. Finland’s one fifth of total exports is from Nokia.

Nokia also boosts country’s revenue by paying 23% of Finnish corporation taxes. So a fierce competition from foreign companies definitely affects Nokia and Finland as a whole. Apple’s accent plays a major role in bringing down the Nokia’s revenue and subsequently its share price by 90% since year 2007.
